Real Madrid new boy cuts press conference short after almost fainting
The Brazil international was finally presented as a Los Blancos player on Wednesday after completing his medical earlier this summer.
In an obvious scenarios, Militao was struggling as he answered questions from the media amid sweltering temperatures in the Spanish capital.
Militao complained of dizziness as he took part in the press conference and appeared in a very serious discomfort before drinking a glass of water to cool down.
But that was not enough as the 32-degree heat eventually took its toll on Militao, who was forced to abruptly end the press conference and walk out of the Bernabeu press room.
"I'm feeling dizzy. This is quite an emotional day for me," said Militao.
The Brazilian defender issued a pledge to the Real Madrid fans earlier in the press conference as he prepares to link up with his new teammates.
"You can expect a competitive player and he will give everything. I will play as if it were always the last game."
Militao had been with the Brazil squad at Copa America as Tite's side won the tournament on home soil.
The versatile 21-year-old defender was the first summer signing made by Zinedine Zidane with the addition of Eden Hazard, Rodrygo, Luka Jovic and Ferland Mendy.
Real Madrid are also in pole position to acquire Paul Pogba but may struggle to meet Manchester United's £180m valuation after their significant outlay already this summer.
Madrid’s hope of cashing in on Gareth Bale becomes slim after the Wales international rejected a big-money offer from China.
