TotalAFCON2019: Two Super Eagles players tested for drugs after Cameroon victory
The Confederation of African Football selected officials Kenneth Omeruo and Chidozie Awaziem after the match against Cameroon on Saturday for a random dope test.
According to a report from Vanguard, both players did not return to the team hotel in Alexandria with their team-mates.
Omeruo and Awaziem were randomly picked, as the usual practice after such games.
The duo later returned to their Helnan Palestine base along with Super eagle’s medical team.
The two defenders played all 90minutes, as the Eagles eliminated defending champions Cameroon, to advance to the quarter-final where they take on South Africa.
